Emanuel Lions Mini Rugby
An inclusive and highly successful community rugby club for 5-15 year old boys and girls, with the RFU's Mini & Youth Seal of Approval.
Emanuel Lions Rugby Club invite:
BOYS AND GIRLS ages 5 and over
(Non-contact rugby is played up to under 8 years)
to come along to our weekly, fully-coached Mini-Rugby sessions and learn to play Rugby in a safe, controlled environment with an emphasis on having FUN!
Children in School Years 1-3 play Tag Rugby, Years 4-8 play Contact Rugby with progressive law variations as they get older.
We also have a dedicated squad for girls aged 10+ which formed a large portion of Surrey's Tag Rugby team - Winners of London Youth Games 2011.
Tall or short, fast or not-so-fast, big or little, girl or boy - there’s a place for you to have great, safe fun playing Mini-Rugby, the world’s fastest growing team sport for kids.
Games and training take place Sundays
Season 11th September 2011 till 29th April 2012
Every Sunday morning 10:30 Registration for 11:00 start. Training finishes at 12:30/13:00. Refreshments available from our clubhouse throughout training for parents and siblings & for children post training.
The principle aim of the mini section of the club is to gradually introduce children to the game of rugby. At Emanuel Rugby Club we encourage a friendly, enjoyable but still competitive approach to the game.
Sportsmanship, Friendship and Team Spirit are paramount.
The players are encouraged to compete and win - but never to lose sight of the traditional ethos of rugby. Emanuel Rugby has secured the prestigious Clubmark status and the Rugby Football Union (RFU) Seal of Approval, which recognises the quality of the club’s operation; the players are also trained by RFU qualified mini-rugby coaches and referees.
Our on the pitch success continues to develop with several age groups winning well-deserved trophies in competitions and festivals throughout 2010/11.

Home Training - AND IT'S AN EARILER START!
This week is regstration at 10.00am for a 10.30am start with the intention of finishing at 12.00pm ready for the U13's League game. As usual please car share, bus it, walk or bike in wherever possible as parking will be limited.

This is the Under 13's first league game, kick off is 12:15/12:30; please stay and support the team after training. Again please car share, bus it, walk or bike in wherever possible as parking will be limited. - Extra volunteers will be required to assist in the car park & in and around the club house.
